Team Dublin Scholarship

Team Dublin (a community service committee of City employees and contracted staff) invites all high school seniors in Dublin to apply for a $1,000 college scholarship.  Applicants must plan on attending a two-year or four-year college or vocational school in Fall 2017.


  • Resident of Dublin, CA.
  • High school senior currently enrolled in a Dublin public, private or home school.
  • High school senior must have plans to attend a two-year or four-year college or vocational school in Fall 2017.

Guidelines & Application

  1. A one-time lump sum scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded.
  2. Award will be based on:
    1. An effective typed essay (not to exceed 500 words) explaining your career goals and how a college degree will help you achieve those goals.
    2. Two (2) letters of recommendation from non-relatives (e.g., a counselor, teacher, organization sponsor, etc.).
    3. A resume highlighting your community service and/or volunteer work, including the name of the organization, amount of time involved, and a brief description of work performed.
  3. All documents must be submitted no later than 5:00 PM on Friday, March 31, 2017.  LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

    • You may complete and submit an online application (and required attachments).
  4. Final selection will be announced in late April 2017.  Recipients will be notified by phone and an official letter will follow in the mail.
  5. An award certificate will be presented in May 2017; details of the presentation will be coordinated with the scholarship recipient.
  6. Upon receipt of proof of enrollment for the Fall 2017 term, the scholarship will be made payable to the recipient.  Request for payment must be received no later than October 31, 2017.
  7. If the scholarship recipient fails to register for a two-year or four-year institution in the fall of 2017, the scholarship becomes null and void.

Team Dublin raises money throughout the year through a variety of fundraising efforts and events. This is the third year that the committee has set aside money for a college scholarship. Last year's winner was Clarisse Barbier from Dublin High School, now attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
