Holiday Events

Holidays are a special time for the whole community to come together. The City of Dublin offers a variety of fun holiday events, beginning in November and continuing through mid-December. These include the Holiday Craft Boutique, Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony, Holiday Teas, Holiday DancEscape, Breakfast with Santa and the Warm Wishes Gift Drive.


Holiday Craft Boutique


Saturday, November 18 at 10:00 a.m.

Dublin Senior Center, 7600 Amador Valley Boulevard
Presented by the Dublin Senior Center and the Dublin Senior Foundation 
Find a wonderful assortment of handmade arts and crafts, gifts, and decor at our holiday boutique.
Admission is free

34th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony


Thursday, November 30 at 7:00 p.m.

Dublin Civic Center, 100 Civic Plaza
Celebrate the start of the holiday season with the traditional lighting of the tree at the Dublin Civic Center.  Enjoy lively seasonal entertainment from the Dublin High School Jazz Band and the Dublin Unified Elementary School Choir along with cookies and hot cocoa after the performance.  Also, be on the lookout for a surprise appearance by a very special visitor from the North Pole!

Children’s Holiday Tea

Saturday, December 2 at 11:00 a.m. 


Dublin Heritage Park & Museums, 6600 Donlon Way
Merry Old St. Nick pays a visit to the Heritage Park Sunday School Barn, as children and their families enjoy a traditional holiday tea buffet and festive sing-along.  Following your tea, you may tour the Kolb House, decorated for a farm Christmas morning.  Seating is limited.  This event will sell out!  Purchase your tickets early.

Country Holiday Teas

Holiday Tea at the Heritage Park and Museums is a tradition to share with friends or family.  Enjoy an array of traditional sweets such as scones with fresh lemon curd, dainty tea sandwiches, delightful sweets and, of course, plenty of steaming hot tea served in beautiful vintage china cups.  Following your tea you may tour the Kolb House, decorated for a farm Christmas morning.  Seating is limited.  This event will sell out!  Purchase your tickets early.

Holiday DancEscape

Celebrate the season with friends at this annual event which will get you on your feet. Enjoy live swing, ballroom, and contemporary tunes.  Even if you don't dance, the music is toe-tapping fun!

Breakfast with Santa

Saturday, December 9

Shannon Community Center, 11600 Shannon Avenue
Santa Claus is coming to Dublin!  Families are invited to enjoy a delicious hot pancake breakfast served with sausage, fruit, coffee, and juice, followed by the much anticipated arrival of Santa Claus.  Register early as this event which benefits the Dublin High School Irish Guard and Music Program is always a sell-out.  Santa will be available to pose for holiday photos after breakfast.

2017 Warm Wishes Gift Drive


Dublin's employee organization coordinates this community-wide charitable donation effort to provide holiday gifts to neighbors in need.  To help, pick up a gift tag at City Hall or choose a wish online and return your wrapped gift to City Hall, Shannon Community Center, or the Senior Center by December 11 at 5:00 p.m.  We’ll see that your gift is delivered in time to brighten the holiday season.
