Creek Cleanup Day

Creek Cleanup Day Dublin

Saturday, September 9, 2017

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

Help clean up creeks in the City of Dublin. Register to secure your spot!  Zone 7 and the City of Dublin require a waiver from all participants, please download and sign the waiver and bring it with you to the event. Extra blank waivers will be on hand the day of the event.

Since 1985, in conjunction with California Coastal Cleanup Day, over 1,300,000 Californians have participated in removing 21 million pounds of trash and recyclables from our beaches, lakes, and waterways.  We hope you will join us for Dublin’s Creek Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. - noon.

With an adult/parent/guardian present, the City's Creek Clean Up Day provides community-based project opportunities for the entire family.

Event Details:

Registered volunteers will meet at Emerald Glen Park for a short orientation and light breakfast before heading out to their creeks.
For safety reasons, children under 15 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
Please note:
Most of the creeks are at a different site from our meeting place, so you will need transportation from Emerald Glen Park to your creek around 9:30 a.m., and back to Emerald Glen Park at approximately 11:30 a.m. for a light pizza lunch.

Registration:

Registration is required. To register, please visit our Eventbrite page.
Please note:  Creek embankments can be steep and slippery. Zone 7 and the City of Dublin require a waiver for each volunteer. Please download and sign the waiver prior to the event, and bring it with you at check-in at Emerald Glen Park.
