New Dublin Street Banners Honor Local Veterans and Active Duty Military

The City of Dublin has created a new street banner program to honor local veterans and active duty members of the U.S. Armed Forces.  Community members sponsored individual banners honoring a service member who lives in Dublin or who has immediate family in Dublin.  This year, there are 15 honorees.  The banners will be on display now through Veterans Day in November.

The 15 banners are located along Dougherty Road between Scarlett Drive and Amador Valley Boulevard, close to Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area.  Residents and visitors are encouraged to take a walking tour of the area to see the names of the honorees.  The round-trip walk is approximately one mile long.
