    English Forward is a bi-lingual, ESL, literacy class for adult learners who speak very little English. Practice listening and speaking English with a small group of people.   1. The Dublin Chamber of Commerce's First 50 Years: 1968-2018

    Begin with a snapshot of Dublin in 1968, when the Dublin Chamber of Commerce was formed. As a small town with fewer than 100 businesses, fast-growing Dublin had beauty salons and barber shops, auto repair shops, and a cocktail lounge or two to serve new suburbanites who were moving here by the thousands. Learn about the Chamber’s first battle involving a soapbox derby, and see how the Chamber advocated for local businesses. By 1982, Dublin had more than 675 businesses and had become a major shopping and recreational destination with a bowling alley, drive-in movie theater, roller rink, and every type of fast food imaginable. Discover the Chamber’s role in helping Dublin gain a reputation as one of the best cities in California for business owners.

  2. Parks Air Force Base: 1951-1959

    Parks Air Force Base was a basic training center, overseas replacement depot, and air base defense training area during the Korean War. Learn about the Korean War and how Parks Air Force Base provided basic training and prepared airmen for flight school and service. See on display a recruit's ‘regulation’ bunk complete with footlocker and souvenirs; uniforms including the herringbone jumpsuit worn for work duty; an officer’s desk complete with General MacArthur snow globe and original Parks AFB yearbooks with photos depicting the training and camaraderie Parks AFB personnel; and original construction plans, reports, photographs, and documents for Parks AFB and Hospital.

  3. Iron Horse Trail - Dublin Boulevard Overcrossing Community Meeting

    December 3, 2018, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM @ Dublin Civic Center

    The City of Dublin invites residents to participate in this upcoming meeting where the City will be sharing the latest plans to construct a bicycle/pedestrian bridge over Dublin Boulevard. This bridge will improve the Iron Horse Trail connection between the Dublin/Pleasanton BART station and areas north of Dublin Boulevard. This City Council-approved project is funded through grants and development, and will connect to the future Don Biddle Community Park and to an improved trail through the BART station. The meeting will include a presentation with time to see the plans and ask questions. The City of Dublin greatly values resident participation in improving this important recreation resource and regional connection. This project is being funded by the Measure BB grant.
